You are invited to join us to celebrate our colleagues and friends at our annual Celebration of Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Research.

Time: 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. (ceremony at 4:00, reception follows at 5:00)
Location: The Student Centre (Stohn Hall and the Event Space), Trent University, Peterborough

· Distinguished Research Award: Dr. Hugh Elton, Ancient Greek and Roman Studies
· Symons Award for Excellence in Teaching: Dr. Elizabeth Russell, Psychology
· Award for Educational Leadership and Innovation
o Dr. Jennifer Newton, Anthropology
o Dr. Kirk Hillsley, Biology
· Early Career Researcher Award:
o Dr. Jenn Cole, Chanie Wenjack School for Indigenous Studies and Gender & Social Justice
o Dr. Kimberly Ritchie, Trent/Fleming School of Nursing
· Award for Excellence in Online Teaching: Dr. Erick Laming, Sociology
· CUPE 3908-1 Award for Excellence in Teaching: Dr. Mary-Claire Buell, Indigenous Environmental Studies and Sciences
· Award for Excellence in Teaching Assistance: William Kim, Biology
Students, staff, faculty, friends and family are all very welcome to join us for our first in-person celebration in over three years. For anyone wishing to toast the awardees from afar, we will share a livestream link closer to the date. Please RSVP by April 26.
