Trent/Fleming School of Nursing Announces 2019 Award Recipients
Students, preceptors and faculty at the Trent/Fleming School of Nursing (TFSON) were presented awards earlier this month in recognition of outstanding contributions made to nursing leadership and nursing practice. This year’s award recipients represent the amazing caliber of students, faculty, clinical instructors, and preceptors at the TFSON and truly exemplify excellence in nursing practice.
The 2019 award recipients are as follows:
Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching – Dr. Jane Tyerman
TFSNA Leadership Award – Dr. Cyndi Gilmer
Preceptor Recognition – Karen Frecker
Janet Bews Scholarship (Alzheimer’s Society) – Shawna Peddar and Alyssa Diatel
Central East Community Care Access Centre (CECCAC) – Rachel Cyr and Chelestina Carniato
Dr. Tedd Cragg Award (Parkinson’s Society) – Emily Rhind
Nicolls/Civic Alumnae Prize – Vanessa Van Massenhoven
Elizabeth Collins Leadership Prize – Meagan Lecompte
Pat & Doug Vaisey Peer Mentoring Award – Olivia Woods
June Woodend Scholarship in Palliative Care Nursing – Gimena Opaso
