The Department of Economics presents "Trump and Coal versus The Ongoing Energy Transition".
By Dr. Rob Godby, director of the University of Wyoming’s Center for Energy Economics and Public Policy, and associate professor in the Economics Department at the University of Wyoming.
Professor Godby grew up in Peterborough, graduated from Trent University with a degree in Economics and obtained a PhD in economics from McMaster University. His research covers natural resource, energy and environmental economics and policy, industrial organization and macroeconomic policy. He has authored or co-authored a number of books, articles and several studies for agencies of the Wyoming government on energy, economic development, labour market and education policy. Professor Godby has become an expert on coal with his comments appearing in a range of international, national and local outlets; the most notable being the New York Times and National Public Radio
