Vice President, Finance and Administration
The Office of the Vice President, Finance and Administration is a member of Trent University's senior executive leadership team and is responsible fo providing fiscal and administrative leadership and management. The position includes responsibility for the University's overall fiscal management and coordination of large campus projects. The Vice-President liaises on behalf of the University with regional governments, various ministries, the Council of Ontario Universities (COU), the Council of Senior Administrative Officers (CSAO), the Canadian Association of University Business Officers (CAUBO),
Steven Pillar came to Trent University in 2013 from Brock University – where he had served as the VP Finance & Administration from 2002 to 2012. Prior to his appointment at Brock, Steven had been Saskatchewan’s Deputy Minister of Labour, after a number years in the Saskatchewan provincial government including senior roles in finance, social services, education, and health. Steven came to Saskatchewan after 10 years as the Chief Financial Officer in a large urban school district in Delta, British Columbia.
