Meet our Sustainability Coordinator

Shelley Strain has shaped the role of the SO at Trent for the last 15 years.  As Trent’s first Sustainability Coordinator Shelley established the SO with a breadth of experience in environmental education and outreach, program development, waste diversion and energy efficiency and capacity/partnership building that spanned the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.

Shelley has a B.Sc. in Biology, an Ecosystem Management Technology diploma from Fleming, holds her Certified Energy Manager and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional designations from the Association of Energy Engineers as well as her LEED AP, Building Operations and Maintenance and she is an Accredited Green Roof Professional. Shelley is a key resource on campus for the practice of sustainability implementation.
