Artificial Intelligence & Information Technology

In this professional postgraduate certificate program, you will explore the interdisciplinary field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), developing a strong foundation in AI principles, computer programming, data science, machine learning, statistics, and information systems. You will also examine the social and philosophical implications of AI, preparing you to apply these technologies responsibly and effectively in a rapidly evolving technical landscape. 

Designed for students who have completed an undergraduate degree, this one-year program combines technical knowledge with practical, hands-on learning. Throughout your program, you will build the skills to develop and implement AI-driven solutions, analyze data, and leverage emerging technologies to address real-world challenges across a variety of industries. 

This postgraduate certificate program is offered exclusively at Trent University's Durham GTA campus, which is conveniently situated close to Toronto. In addition to learning from expert Trent faculty members, you'll have access to a full range of on-site student services, including academic advising, career development, library resources, and dedicated support from Trent International. 

Courses: The Applied AI and Information Technology post-graduate certificate program consists of 4.5 credits which are designed to be completed over two terms of full-time study with a break in the Summer.

Graduating from Trent this year? As a Trent grad, you qualify for direct admission to our postgraduate certificate programs starting in September. To apply and register, just send a confirmation email to admissions@trentu.ca from your Trent University account. We will waive the application fee. 

Admission Requirements: This Postgraduate Certificate is available to students who hold an undergraduate degree from any accredited university.
