The global demand for skilled practitioners who can inform planning and economic activities through a sustainability and conservation lens continues to grow daily. In this specialization, students examine the human impact on biodiversity, develop practical, evidence-based approaches to conserving nature and wildlife, and build knowledge in ecology, evolution, and population genetics.

BIOL 4400Y: Placement in Conservation Biology. Students must apply in the academic year before enrolment in the course. Application forms may be obtained from the department website at trentu.ca/biology/experience. Enrolment is limited and competitive.
