Trent University Saddened to Learn of the Passing of Long-time Employee Elrick White

Mr. White worked at Trent University from 1973 to 2011

Elrick White began working at Trent on May 7, 1973 and retired Jan 1, 2011. He held various positions in Physical Resources including, caretaker, lead hand caretaker, porter, and groundskeeper.

Below is an excerpt from his notice:
WHITE, Elrick "Rick" Robert (June 20, 1953 - March 22, 2015) - Beloved husband of Dorothy (English) for 37 years. Lovingly remembered by his brother Paul and sister-in-law Eleanor, and his brother-in-law Bill Godfrey. He will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews and dear friends. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Edith (Forrest). Rick was 61 years old and was a long-time employee of Trent University until his retirement in 2011. He was always active in sports and enjoyed travelling and photography. Rick was an avid scuba-diver and loved to travel on dive trips with his friends from Adventure Divers. A private mass was held on Friday, March 27 followed by inurnment at Little Lake Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE. Online condolences may be left a www.comstockfuneralhome.com.To honour Rick's love of the oceans, memorial donations may be made to the Pacific Whale Foundation via www.pacificwhale.org.

The University extends heartfelt sympathies to Mr. White’s family and friends, and to all who knew him at Trent University.
