Join Jill Bishop, from the Urban Tomato at the Spoon for an interactive workshop on saving seeds, and food security.
Jill Bishop has been saving seeds in the Peterborough/Nogojiwanong region for decades. Her practical knowledge and simple seed-saving techniques will give you the confidence and skills to get started. Just in time for the fall harvest, we'll explore a variety of flower and food seeds and learn how to save and store them properly.
This workshop is open to everyone (Trent students, staff, and community members)—no experience is necessary! It's perfect for nature lovers, food and flower growers, curious minds, educators, and anyone looking for a fun and relaxing evening at the Spoon.
The workshop fee is $5, and registration is required through Eventbrite or by email.
Please email spoonvolunteers@gmail.com to register, ask any questions, or request accessibility accommodations.
