This a hybrid workshop. Please register on the SEP to join us in-person in Bata Library 411 or on Zoom.

Do you want your thesis or manuscript to have:

  • an auto-generated table of contents/Figures/Tables?
  • linked multi-level headings?
  • linked figure/table captions?
  • page numbers (in roman numerals & numbers?)
  • aesthetically appealing graphs?
  • tables with/without fancy borders?
  • a single landscape page somewhere?

We've got you! Join Academic Skills for a 1-hour workshop on formatting your papers. Follow along step-by-step as an Academic Skills Instructor walks you through how-to take advantage of all the wonders of MS Office (Word & Excel)

Bring a draft of your work and follow along. Don't have a draft just yet? No problem! We will share a document you can use to practice your formatting skills.

Note: We will be working in Microsoft Word. This program is available free to all Trent University students. You can download and install it via myTrent>Services>IT Services. Please ensure you have access to this program (ideally in the desktop, not the browser version).
