Trent University Mourns the Passing of Trent Employee Sue Landry
The Trent community is saddened to learn of the passing of Sue Landry, a dedicated staff member whose long service supported students and the Department of Chemistry for more than three decades.
Sue was a student at Trent University from 1984 to 1988, where she completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Chemistry. During her studies, she worked as a student employee in the department. Following graduation, she joined the Chemistry Department as a demonstrator, a role she formally began on September 15, 1989.
Sue spent her entire professional career at Trent in the Chemistry Department, supporting teaching and learning through her work as a demonstrator. She held this position until she went on leave in November 2021.
Beyond her academic contributions, Sue was also involved in campus life through athletics. She coached a women’s basketball team at Trent that competed in a local league during the 1990s and into the 2000s, contributing to student life beyond the classroom.
The University extends its sincere sympathies to Sue’s family, friends, and all who knew her at Trent.
