Trent University's annual Electrical Maintenance Outage is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 from 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and will affect most of Symons Campus. 

This is essential work to help maintain the reliability of our campus electrical supply. 

While backup generators will supply power to select buildings, building access and multiple campus facilities will be limited throughout the day. 

The following buildings and services will be closed for the entire day Saturday, May 3: 

• Athletics Centre  
  • Modified hours on Sunday, May 4 as well. Visit the website for details. 
• Bata Library
  • Also closed on Sunday, May 4, as per summer hours. 
• All Food Services, including Starbucks in the Student Centre 

Blackburn Hall will not be impacted and will operate as usual. 

As building access across campus will be affected, Facilities Management is informing the community about the planned outage and asking visitors to avoid coming to campus on May 3, if possible.
