More Information

The Research for Social Change Lab (RSCL) is hosting a symposium to begin a conversation about addressing the data needs of organisations in the community. This event will bring together community organisations and Trent students and faculty for conversations about data justice, data analysis, and much more. This symposium aims to build capacity by addressing human resource and infrastructure needs in the public sector regarding data. Participants will engage in problem solving through tackling specific data-related challenges faced by institutions at both ground and top levels. Further, the event hopes to link institutions with similar data needs and limited financial resources to collaborate on shared data infrastructures by connecting institutions needing help with data collection, processing, and analysis with enthusiastic and skilled students from Trent and Fleming.

This symposium will occur on February 21st, 2025 from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM. Lunch will be provided. Participants are encouraged to take public transit or carpool to the event. Registration is required: https://forms.gle/jh1DqgDDzjNMjFu3A
