Trent University made several gains in the 2025 Maclean’s University Rankings, including moving up in the rankings for all four categories part of the national reputation survey. Trent University is the number two university in Canada for best overall, most innovative, and developing leaders of tomorrow. Trent is also the number one undergraduate university in Ontario for highest quality.

In the rankings, which compare 50 universities from across Canada, Trent University also made positive gains both provincially and nationally in several key categories that reflect Trent’s commitment to teaching, learning, research, and student supports. Trent is number one in Ontario for student services, faculty awards, and medical science grants. We are also number two in Ontario for scholarships, and Trent moved up in the overall rankings of undergraduate universities in Canada to #6.
