More Information

Students, alumni, staff, faculty, and members of the worldwide Trent community are invited to join in the annual celebration of Trent Day!

On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, join as we mark the 1963 founding of Trent University, encourage philanthropic SUPPORT for student needs, reinforce the University’s founding value of SERVICE to the community, and raise Trent SPIRIT.

SUPPORT:  At Trent University, we are driven to understand, activate, and steer momentous change for good. This Trent Day, make a gift to the Trent Fund, our most flexible fund that provides resources (such as emergency food and housing support) when and where our students need it most. For as little as $10 per month, you can support students in a powerful, easy, and affordable way. Make your gift before end of day April 3, 2024.

SERVICE: In celebration of Trent Day, alumni and community members will come together in a unified display of service by volunteering with organizations in their area. Participate in a Trent Day group volunteer opportunity or register for an activity that is meaningful to you. Service sites are available in Peterborough, Lakefield, Oshawa, Toronto, Uxbridge, and Edmonton. Register before 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20.

On Wednesday, April 3, bring your non-perishable items to donation booths stationed on the Peterborough and Durham campuses between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Look for the Trent Day tent across from the Bata parking lot on Symons Campus, and outside of the new residence building on the Durham GTA campus. All food donations will support Kawartha Food Share in Peterborough and Feed the Need Durham in Oshawa.

SPIRIT: Whether you’re on campus, out in the community, or heading to the office, Trent Day is the day to show off your Trent pride. Take a photo of you and your crew in your Trent gear and show your Trent Day spirit on social media - be sure to tag #TrentDay. No matter where our paths take us, our Trent stories always bring us together! Send us your Trent memories, stories, and photos, then tune in as we share them on Trent Day.

Wear your college scarf or gear to receive a FREE burger or hotdog and bag of chips at the College's BBQ! Join the fun on the Upper Bata Podium from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

RAIN PLAN: In the event of inclement weather, the Peterborough Food Drive Tent and Colleges BBQ will move into the Great Hall. In Durham, the Food Drive Tent and Spirit activities will also move indoors. A little rain can’t dampen the Trent Spirit!
