Trent University Mourns the Passing of Former Professor Morton Berkowitz
A recipient of the Symons Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1991, Dr. Berkowitz was an associate professor in the English Literature department for 25 years.
The Trent University community is saddened to learn of the passing of Dr. Morton Berkowitz, a devoted educator in the English Literature department, who worked at Trent for 25 years..
Professor Berkowitz began teaching at Trent in July of 1970 as an assistant professor of English Literature and was granted tenure in 1974. In recognition of his commitment to teaching and student success, Prof. Berkowitz was presented with the Symons Award for Excellence in Teaching in 1991.
The University extends heartfelt sympathies to the family and friends of Prof. Morton Berkowitz and to all who knew him at Trent.
