Movies for Mental Health is a two-hour workshop that empowers young adults, educators, health professionals, and community members to better understand mental health within their environment. Knowing that art speaks the language of our inner worlds, Art with Impact harnesses film to engage young people on the vital topic of mental health and mental illness, inspiring them to tell their own stories and explore those of others.
The workshop will include:
- Discussions to create a brave space for talking about mental health;
- Viewing of three short films from the OLIVE Film Collection with facilitated reflection and discussion with participants;
- Panel discussion with student speakers and campus and community resources;
- Catered food and refreshments; and
- An end-of-event prize draw
