With a passion for research and a commitment to fostering innovative learning environments, Dr. Wenying Feng brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to the role of associate dean of Trent University Durham GTA.

An expert in Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Feng's research spans the exploration of nonlinear operator equations to solutions and positive solutions for nonlinear differential and difference equations, fixed point theory, and extends into the realms of machine learning and deep neural networks.

Regardless of the topic, empowering education is Prof. Feng's hallmark. Her interactive classroom philosophy fosters student-led learning and a love for knowledge. She believes education should be an exploration co-created by teachers and students.

"I believe in nurturing minds, not just delivering lectures," Prof. Feng emphasizes. "Education should be an exciting journey of exploration, where students and teachers co-create understanding."

Excited about Trent University Durham GTA's future, Prof. Feng sees the campus as a hub of innovation.

"Trent University Durham GTA is more than an institution; it's a crucible of innovation and academic excellence," she affirms. "Here, ideas come to life, and knowledge knows no bounds. I am thrilled to collaborate with a diverse array of students and colleagues to push the boundaries of conventional wisdom."

Prof. Feng also sees her role beyond academia. She plans to bridge academic insights with real-world impact by partnering with local bodies and industry leaders. Her goal is to empower future leaders to create sustainable change.
