Trent University Mourns the Passing of George Joseph McKeiver
George McKeiver was one of Trent’s original security officers, patrolling Trent for over twenty years.
The Trent University community is saddened to learn of the passing of retired Trent security officer and farmer George McKeiver on Sunday, March 5, 2023, in his 101st year. George began working at Trent in Champlain College as security cleaning in 1968 and moved into the security patrolman position with the Engineering Department in 1974. He continued in the security patrolman position in the Physical Plant Department in 1976 and retired in December 1987.
