"I often find it easier to be teaching or giving to others, and often struggle with the place of my own pleasure and joy". No words have felt truer in this climate than those of our beloved ancestor Bell Hooks. No Action is more important than activating JOY. So how do we embody an emotion that has been historically suppressed and politicized by systems that profit off our exhaustion; We reclaim our divinity, our humanity. This interactive workshop aims to create space to explore the urgency of joy and the black body.
This is an interactive workshop that Black Student Peer Support is putting on to give space to Black students as another hectic semester comes to an end, led by Aneesa Holliday-Dingle (LSW) from Decolonizing Therapy LLC.
Audience: Black students (both campuses, graduate and undergraduate welcome)
Date & Time: Thursday March 10th, 5pm – 7pm
