About this Event
People and communities are questioning what’s “normal” in the face of so much loss and financial hardship. The free market has not saved us in these hard times.
In the difficulties of this moment, there is a unique opportunity to envision an economic model that unleashes human potential, not for profiteering and harm to the environment, but to express the moral values of communities beginning at the local level.
Pandemics encourage us to reimagine. Not out-of-the-box thinking, but building the box anew. This can be hard, challenging work. But we have the moment, knowledge and experience we need. We now have to choose whether to return to the old normal of the free market or fashion a bold, clear vision of who to meet the needs of all of us within the means of the planet.
The moment is now. The choice is ours.
