With a transformative campus expansion underway, top national rankings, a growing list of innovative programs, and guaranteed career experience, it is an ideal time for future students, their families and friends to visit Trent University Durham GTA’s Fall Open House on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

“We are welcoming future students to campus, and giving them a taste of the Trent Durham GTA experience, with personal connections to expert faculty, innovative programs focused on social responsibility, and opportunities for student engagement,” notes Dr. Scott Henderson, dean and head of Trent University Durham GTA. “With our new residence and academic building slated for opening in fall 2020, there has never been a better time to join our community of scholars here at Ontario’s number one undergraduate university. High school students: don’t forget to bring your OUAC access number this weekend and we can help you apply to Trent on the spot.”

Highlights of the Trent Durham GTA Fall Open House include:

  • Apply on the Spot: Visit the “Apply Now” table in the front atrium with your access number and our admissions team will help you apply on the spot;
  • Residence Sneak Peek & Campus Expansion Update: Tour a sample residence room and see for yourself what living on campus will be like, while learning more about our new residence and academic building, opening fall 2020;
  • Career Experience: Find out about how you will be guaranteed career experience while studying at Trent Durham GTA that you can add to your resume;
  • Faculty Dedicated to Teaching Undergrads: Speak with professors and students about your program of interest at the academic and student services fair;
  • New Career-focused Programs: Find out more about a growing range of programs focused on your future: Journalism & Creative Writing; Policing & Community Well-being; Computing Systems; Law & Arts/Law & Business; and more.
  • Guided Tours of a Close-knit Campus Community: Tour Trent’s Durham GTA campus – tours depart every 10 minutes;
  • Small Classes with Top Lecturers: Attend mini-lectures and information sessions;
  • Buy that hoodie! Purchase Trent gear at a discounted price from the Trent Durham Student Association;
  • Enter to Win First Year Tuition: Just by registering for Open House, you are automatically entered in our draw to win your first-year tuition;
  • SWAG Alert: Prospective students are also invited to share a photo on social media of their time at Fall Open House using the hashtag #DiscoverTrentU for a chance to win Trent swag.

Trent University Durham GTA is offering all students free transportation to make it easier to visit campus. Students and their guests simply need to show their GO Transit ticket at the registration table in the Front Atrium to be provided with a pre-loaded Presto card.

Peterborough Open House will take place Friday, November 8, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
