All students, staff and faculty advised to download Alertus app to receive important alerts during campus emergencies

A message from the Risk Management Office

To help our Trent community stay safe and be informed during campus emergencies, we are asking all students, faculty and stuff to download the Alertus app.

With this free app, you will receive up-to-the-minute information as it becomes available during an emergency situation on campus. Examples of emergencies include fire, violent intruders, hazardous materials spills, and tornados.

NOTE: The ECS is not activated for class cancellations, event notifications or other situations that do not constitute significant danger.

Downloading and accessing the app is easy:

  1. Search for Alertus on your Android or Apple device.
  2. Follow these simple directions to activate the app. Video instruction available.

Downloading Alertus today will ensure that you receive our emergency test message scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019 at 12:45 p.m. for Trent Durham GTA campus and 1:00 p.m. for Peterborough campus.

If you have questions about Alertus, Trent’s Emergency Communications System or strategies, please contact the Risk Management Office at 705-748-1011 x7372 or riskmanagement@trentu.ca

Thank you for putting your safety and the security of our Trent community first.
