It's back!

The 5K Colour Run is held each year by the Trent Central Student Association during Trent Orientation Week in the first week of September. This is a non-competitive fun run through Trent's beautiful campus, and it is open to all ages. Students, staff, faculty, and Peterborough community members are encouraged to participate.

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, run, jog, or walk the route that takes participants from West Bank to East Bank. Each kilometre is marked by a colour station, where participants will get covered in bright, colourful, non-toxic colour powder.

Registration for the Colour Run costs $25 and includes a race day t-shirt and the chance to win some great prizes from local businesses. Register online by clicking here to view our Eventbrite page.

Check-in and t-shirt pick-up on race day will begin at 11:00am on upper Bata Podium, followed by a warm-up beginning after 11:30am.

This year, the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Youth Emergency Shelter downtown Peterborough. YES helps youth and families in Peterborough lead full and positive lives by providing shelter, education and transitional support. YES provides emergency shelter to hundreds of youth and families in crisis-any time, every day of the year. You can find out more information about YES on their website: www.yesshelter.ca

We would like to thank our sponsors and our friends at Wild Rock and Fontaine's for their support and contributions to this event.

For more information or questions, please contact info@trentcentral.ca or (705) 748-1000.

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
This event is open to participants of all ages, and is family and pet friendly. We invite all Peterborough and Trent community members to register.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Upon entering campus, follow the main road and the signage towards Bata Library. There are pay-and-display parking lots in front of Bata Library, at Champlain College, at Lady Eaton College, and at the Athletics Centre. All parking lots are within a few minutes walk to where check-in will be held. For parking maps and regulations, visit www.trentu.ca/parking

What can I bring into the event?
We strongly encourage participants to bring sunglasses to wear during the run. The colour powder is non-toxic and will wash out of clothing and shoes. Feel free to bring headphones and music, and a water bottle if you wish. There will be water-filling stations on site.
