Durham Expansion Update: Construction Begins, Bringing in 90 New Parking Spaces for Fall 2019
#GrowingTrentUDurham continues with additional parking spaces to accommodate the growing community of scholars before introduction of residence and academic building opening fall 2020
Construction is underway for the first phase of the Durham GTA expansion project, creating additional parking spaces for students, faculty and staff at the north end of campus. The need for additional spaces comes as a result of the increasing student population and exciting campus expansion news, which includes a six-storey building equipped with state-of-the-art academic space and on-campus residence space at 55 Thornton Road South.
Parking will continue to be available to students, faculty and staff at no cost. The lot located on the West side of the current building is prohibited from parking during this time to accommodate construction vehicles. An additional 90 parking spots will be available for use this upcoming September 2019.
