The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) Local 365 celebrated its 25th anniversary at Trent with a barbecue and tree planting ceremony on May 31. Local members were invited to attend the event, along with OPSEU president Smokey Thomas, Tracey Vyfschaft and Sara Labelle from the Region 3 office, Chris Johnston and Richard Bradley from the Peterborough Office, and Clarke Eaton from head office.

Local 365 president Adele Devlin acknowledged members who have been with OPSEU for 25 years and thanked the union’s stewards for their commitment.

“It is a great honour to be the president of Local 365 as we celebrate this huge milestone. Being part of the backbone of support workers who have helped create this wonderful institution is something we should be very proud of,” said Mrs. Devlin.
