The Trent Computer Science Society's biggest event of the year is just around the corner.... Electric City Hacks! EC Hacks is Trent's annual hackathon, started last year by a few TCSS members. We're expecting over 350 students to come to Trent and compete for 37 hours to make a software or hardware invention of any kind. It's an amazing opportunity to make friends, learn something new, network with tech companies, and even potentially land a summer job! This year we're super excited to be sponsored by TD Bank, RBC, Deloitte, Freshbook, Enterprise, the Peterborough Innovation Cluster, Communitech, and more!
Electric City Hacks is happening this year from November 3rd-5th, and we want you to be a part of it! You can register on our website to participate, but don't worry, all Trent students get an automatic acceptance! Electric City Hacks promotes inclusiveness and interdisciplinary teamwork, so don't feel pressured to be an expert coder! If you can't commit to hacking the entire weekend, you can sign up to be a volunteer (both look awesome on a resume). So tell all your friends and get pumped for the biggest event of the year! For more information on Electric City Hacks, check out our website.
