Trent University Saddened to Learn of the Passing of Bill Bowers

Mr. Bowers began work at Trent University in 1972

The Trent University community is saddened to learn of the passing of Bill Bowers. Mr. Bowers began working at Trent University in 1972 as the manager of the Print Shop, a role that he held until his retirement.

Below is an excerpt from his obituary notice:

A long-time member of the Trent University community and 2003 inductee into the Peterborough and District Sports Hall of Fame passed unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at the age of 72. Bill was the beloved husband of the late Erin, loving father of Dan and his wife Catherine of Fargo, ND. and adored Papa of Blake. Bill will be sadly missed by his siblings Janet, Don, Debbie and their families. Memorial Visiting will be held at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME , 840 Armour Road, on Wednesday, July 19th from 1 - 2 p.m. Memorial Service to follow at 2 pm. If desired; condolences to the family, directions to the service or donations to the Canadian Cancer Society may be made at www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca or by calling 705-740-0444.

The University extends heartfelt sympathies to Mr. Bowers' family and friends, and to all who knew him in Peterborough and at Trent University.
