Trent University will host the top university curlers in Ontario as they compete for provincial glory at the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Curling Championships at the Peterborough Curling Club starting Saturday, February 7.

The Trent Excalibur will be represented in the championship by the women’s team, who completed the season with a 5-3 record in the sectionals and crossovers. Trent is led by third-year skip Jenna Bonner, fourth-year vice Julia Weagle, and front ends Rebecca Clements, Leeann Mugford, and Lorna Orpwood. Ms. Clements, Ms. Bonner and Ms. Mugford were also recently named OUA All-Stars.

The top four men’s and women’s teams will battle for the title at the championship bonspiel, which consists of eight-end matches. Each team will play three round robin games on Saturday. The semi-finals take place on Sunday, followed by the OUA final.
