Trent Recognizes Quarter Century Service Employees
Fourteen Trent Faculty and Staff Members Join Distinguished Group of Employees who have worked at Trent for 25 Years
Trent University paid tribute to some of its longest-serving employees with a special luncheon and award ceremony on June 10.
Fourteen staff and faculty members were recognized for successfully completing 25 years of service in 2008, and each received either a gold pendant or gold tie pin. This year’s inductees were:

- Jacqueline Muldoon, Acting Director, School of Education & Professional Learning
- Tom Whillans, Professor, Environmental & Resources Studies
- Barbara Znamirowski, Librarian, Bata Library
- Sharon Bosnell, Interlibrary Loans Co-ordinator, Bata Library
- Julie Crook, Engineering Assistant, Physical Resources
- Ron Fox, Audio Visual Technician, Information Technology
- Ken Johnston, Mail Clerk, Physical Resources
- Laurie LaPlante, Academic/Administrative Dept. Secretary, Chemistry
- Eunice Lund-Lucas, Manager, Disability Services
- Bonnie MacKinnon, Academic Program Secretary, Computer Science/Studies
- Dale McKay, Senior Demonstrator & Budget Manager, Biology
- Tui Menzies, Administrative Assistant, Julian Blackburn College
- Mary St. Thomas, Caretaker, Physical Resources
President Bonnie Patterson and Board of Governors’ Vice-Chair Kate Ramsay hosted the event and spoke about the important dedication and contribution to Trent’s educational excellence reflected in this accomplishment. In addition to honouring the newest members of the “quarter century club”, President Patterson also acknowledged the significant contributions of those staff and faculty members who have worked at Trent for 30, 35 and 40 years.
