Mathematics Courses - 2019/20 School Year
A guide (PDF) has been prepared to help you think about your courses for the 2019-20 school year. The first page has a breakdown of the course offerings by semester and year of study, with the first and second page including advice on what courses you should prioritize taking in order to ensure your degree proceeds smoothly. The third and fourth pages give a tentative timetable for the coming year, with the upper-year PHYS course offerings presented as well to aid with selection for our joint-majors.
For our upper (3rd and 4th year) students, there are a large number of course offerings this year, so we encourage you to carefully review the Calendar and ensure you are taking enough 3000 and 4000-level courses. Please note that many of our "take X number of 3000-level courses" requirements can have 4000-level courses substituted: that is, they read "3000 and above", so feel free to take extra 4000s if none of the 3000s are suitable.
If you would like advice, we are always willing to meet with you to help determine the optimal path for your studies.
Best wishes for your summer, and looking forward to seeing you back in the fall!
