The Trent Advantage

Build expertise in one of the world's fastest-growing fields, using data science, machine learning, and predictive analytics to uncover insights and solve complex real-world problems.

In Data Science at Trent, you'll build expertise in programming, statistics, machine learning, and predictive analytics while developing specialized knowledge in a field that interests you. By combining technical skills with subject-area expertise, you'll learn how to uncover insights, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions across a wide range of industries.

  • Build specialized experience by completing credits in a secondary area of focus, such as life and health sciences for medical data science or economics and finance for financial-risk analysis.
  • Gain technical training in programming, machine learning, predictive modelling, data visualization, and data management.
  • Benefit from hands-on experience working with structured and unstructured datasets, transforming raw data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Pursue a faculty-supervised fourth-year capstone project where you'll develop and evaluate a data science solution using a real-world dataset.
