Our faculty, staff and student ambassadors volunteers are what make our Open House days successful. We are looking for representation from every undergraduate academic program and key student services. A number of additional roles such as WayFinders and Greeters are also needed.

Information Sessions

"Information Sessions" during Open House aim to provide our prospective students with an opportunity to connect with faculty and staff from academic programs and key student services. These are 30-minute sessions and take place during the advertised event times. It is our goal to offer an Academic Information Session for every undergraduate academic program available, as well as sessions for key student services departments.

A formal request to host a session will be sent to the Department Chair or Manager prior to Open House.

A finalized schedule of the sessions will be posted here, on the guest facing event webpage and will be emailed to individuals delivering a session.

Academic & Student Services Fair

Representatives from academic programs and key student services are asked to participate in our Academic and Student Services Fair that runs the duration of the event. The goal of this fair is to provide guests with the ability to go to one central location on campus to receive key details about the program(s) that interest them and gain valuable information about the services available to them as a student.

Department student ambassadors are welcome to participate at the tables, however, they must be registered by a staff or faculty member from the department. This can be done on the registration portal above. If you have questions about registering students, please email Chloe Armstrong (charmstrong@trentu.ca).

The Academic & Student Services Fair runs the entire duration of the event. We ask that representatives be at their table 15 minutes prior to event start times.

WayFinders & Greeters

To ensure our guests are able to easily navigate their way around our campuses, volunteers are strategically placed to help welcome guests to campus and provide information about the various activities taking place and where to find them.

Staff, faculty and students are encouraged to participate in this critical role.
