- Students writing in the Centre for Academic Testing (CAT) must sign in there and must bring ID.
- Examinations and tests for students registered with the Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can be arranged with the Centre for Academic Testing (CAT – OC 211). These arrangements are made to provide extra time or other assistance based on a documented disability.
- All requests must be booked online by SAS-registered students through the SAS Portal in MyTrent two (2) weeks before the start of the examination period.
- Email notification of an accommodated exam will be sent to the course instructor at the time of the student booking.
- The CAT uses room OC 207 as a reception room for drop off and pick up of exams during the final exam period in both December and April. If writing an evening exam, students should bring food and reading materials as use of any internet or phone is prohibited, and students must stay till 8:00 pm at the CAT.
- In order to avoid confusion, the CAT would prefer to print your accessible exams for your students. Please upload the exam 5 days before it is to be written to allow manipulation for accessibility reasons. (.doc .docx is the preferred) An electronic copy of the exam may be sent via the SAS Faculty Portal or email to examcentre@trentu.ca. Both hard copies of the exams and an electronic copy must be delivered to the CAT at least 3 working days prior to the exam.
- Completed examinations will be kept secure in the CAT, until the instructor arranges for pick up. Written exams are available for pick up the day following the exam being written. Delegates can be named to allow others to pick up exams with identification. Earlier pick ups may be made with prior arrangements. It is preferrable to pick up the exams between 9:00 am - 6:00 pm to avoid high volume times.
- ID is required for drop off or pick up of exams.
