Informing Care: Tracing Tensions in Everyday Information Work in Dementia Care
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Location: Peterborough Public Library Multi-purpose room, 345 Aylmer Street N.
About: Dr. Nicole Dalmer will deliver "Informing Care: Tracing tensions in everyday information work in dementia care" and discuss the social organization of family caregivers' information work. Dr. Dalmer suggests that information work is one dimension of care work and she uses the concept of work to draw attention to the often-invisible nature of dealing with information.

Writers Reading: Mary Walsh
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Location: Bagnani Hall, Traill College

About: Well-known as a Newfoundland actor, writer, comedian, activist and mother, Mary will read from her novel, Crying For The Moon. Among her many awards and doctorates, Mary is also the recipient of The Order of Canada and the Governor General’s Lifetime Achievement Award in the Performing Arts. She may be best known for her work on CBC’s This Hour Has 22 Minutes. The wildly-popular current affairs series, which she also created, earned her many of her numerous Gemini awards and showcased her dynamic range of characters, including the flagrantly outspoken ‘Marg Delahunty’.
