These positions are available for those graduate students who have Graduate Teaching Assistant Funding.  

Application Process:

Eligible new and returning graduate students must submit the following to apply for a GTA position:

  • cover letter containing a statement of interest
  • up-to-date CV
  • GTA Supplementary Form
  • Please submit your application package to castjobs@trentu.ca by August 1st, 2026.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • New this year, you will be required to submit a GTA Supplementary Form, which will be included in an email to all eligible graduate students from the Office of the Deans, Arts and Science.
  • Your statement of interest should include your top three course preferences for each term. Please also keep in mind the qualifications listed for each course.
  • Preferences are not guaranteed.
  • A complete application package (listed above) is required to receive a GTA position. The hiring department will not assign an eligible student to a course if they have not applied.
  • The courses listed above are conditional to have a GTA pending budgetary approval and projected enrolment.
