AI Studies Student Conference

The AI Studies Program holds an annual AI Studies Student Conference where students in the fields of Computer Science, Philosophy, and AI Studies can share their research or other academic work related to AI. The event is a full day affair with refreshments and lunch served, as well as a keynote speaker. This conference is a great opportunity to share your work in front of an audience and to engage in meaningful conversation about the implications of AI.
Speaker Series

The AI Studies program holds a Speaker Series, with guests typically coming in both the Fall and Winter terms. Talks are on current and interesting topics related to AI such as data management post-death, or AI and immigration, for example. These talks are an opportunity to meaningfully engage with scholars and professionals within the field of AI and to complement the theories taught during class time. Keep an eye on our social media accounts for more information about upcoming dates.
Social Events
Throughout the year, social events such as movie nights, for example, are held for AI Studies students. These drop-in style events give students a chance to connect with their peers and take a break from ethical conundrums or machine learning algorithms. Food or refreshments are provided at these events so all you need to do is come ready to hang out.
