Trent University will showcase gratitude to veterans and active members of Canada’s Armed Forces through commemorating Remembrance Day in services at both our Peterborough and Durham campuses.
On Friday, November 10, 2023, the Trent community is encouraged to participate in campus observances led by Trent or within our local communities. Whether you are on-campus or learning and working remotely, here are a few ways you can participate in a meaningful way:

Flag Lowering
To mark Remembrance Day, the flag atop the Bata Library, and the flag on the east side of the Trent Durham GTA campus, will be lowered to half-mast on November 10 and November 11.
Observing a Moment of Silence
All Trent community members are encouraged to take a moment of silence in remembrance of those who have served. Watch the Trent Remembers video or show it in class.
Community Events
Members of the Trent community may also choose to observe virtual ceremonies being held in the local community and nationally.
