Service Interruption

Good Morning All,

Between 10:00am and 10:15am this morning, we experienced a significant power failure in our data centre.    Although the majority of our services remained operational during this outage, the following services were interrupted:

  • Bata library network, including phones and wireless coverage
  • Novell logins
  • Student H: drives
  • Staff S: drives
  • Biomaterials P: drive
  • Madgic GIS server
  • IRIS reporting
  • Room bookings

Network, phones, and wireless services were restored by 10:15am, and all remaining services were fully restored by 10:45am.   We are currently working on ensuring that this type of interruption is not repeated again and we apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
