Residence Network Update

For Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm there will be more IT Service Desk staff deployed to resolve any of your outstanding residence network issues.
In Gzowski College, there will be an IT Service Desk staff stationed on the fourth floor, alongside the laundry facilities and in Otonabee College, the IT Service Desk Staff will be available in “OC Link”, the common area where the North and South meet by the exit leading to the DNA buildings. All other residences are to report their connectivity issues directly to the IT Service Desk in the Bata Library.
Overall Network Status…..
- The “RezNet” and the “RezNet-Guest” Wireless Networks are working for all Laptops, Tablets, Desktops, SmartPhones, and iPods. If your experiencing issues with any of these devices, visit one of our IT Service Desk Staff, contacts us at (705)748-1015, or e-mail us at reznet@trentu.ca.
- XBOX, PS3/4, and non-AirPlay Printers cannot automatically join the wireless networks, but we CAN help. Visit with one of our IT Service Desk Staff, contacts us at (705)748-1015, or e-mail us at reznet@trentu.ca. Please provide us with the Mac Address of your device and we will be able to register these devices to work on our wireless network.
- The wired ports in all residences are currently NOT working. Additionally, we have no solution for Apple TV devices and AirPlay Printers. We recommend that you directly connect the printer to your computer as we work on this issue.
