Network Upgrades

Good Afternoon All,

Thanks to the hard work of our network team, we are pleased to announce that a number of significant upgrades are being performed on the Trent Network this week. These include;

1) Adding a second internet connection: This second internet connection will more than double our available bandwidth (our rate of data transfer) between our network and the internet.

2) Increased Resiliency: With the addition of the second internet connection, a failure in any one of our connections will not disrupt our access to the internet.

3) More dedicated Bandwidth at the Oshawa Campus: Changes to the dedicated bandwidth at the Oshawa campus will allow us to better control traffic between Oshawa and Peterborough and to improve the quality of service around video and phone delivery. 

While we hope that the upgrade process will be invisible to you, we may experience brief service interruptions if unforeseen complications arise.
