iClicker REEF Audience Response

Dear Faculty and Staff,

Trent IT, in conjunction with iClicker, our vendor for audience response systems, is pleased to announce the general availability of the next generation student response system to our faculty.

iClicker REEF has undergone extensive development and testing, and is now ready for faculty adoption.

Impact

  • Faculty members now have the option of polling students via mobile device, or via traditional clickers.
  • Students purchasing the REEF app can receive a coupon to send away for a free physical iClicker device for classes who do not wish to use mobile polling.
  • Faculty members are no longer required to “sync” grade rosters with Blackboard. This has been improved and is automatic in the new system.

Faculty who wish to adopt a digital audience response system are invited to contact it@trentu.ca to arrange for an onboarding session, at which time additional details and training will be provided.
