FYI Microsoft Office Now Available FREE to Students

Please be aware that, starting today, we have made Microsoft Office freely available to all Trent University students. The message below was sent earlier.

Dear Student,
I am pleased to announce that Trent University is now making Microsoft Office freely available to all registered students. The latest version of Office is made available to students through the Microsoft Student Advantage Program and our subscription to Office 365 ProPlus. It is provided under the University's Microsoft Office 365 Education plan. With this program students are able to download and install Office 365 ProPlus on up to 5 devices AT NO ADDITIONAL COST.
Office 365 ProPlus is made available for multiple platforms, including; Windows and Mac. It is also available for multiple mobile platforms, including; iPhone, iPad, Android, and Windows Phone.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind faculty and staff that under our current Trent Microsoft Volume Licensing Agreement, each faculty and staff member is eligible to purchase certain Microsoft Office software for home use. Microsoft Office for Trent owned machines remains free.
The home use software is deeply discounted at a purchase price of $11 per licensed package, excluding the cost of media if ordered. The packages available for purchase include;
1) Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013, which includes; Word 2013, Excel 2013, PowerPoint 2013, Outlook 2013, OneNote 2013, Access 2013, Publisher 2013, InfoPath 2013, and Lync 2013
2) Microsoft Project Professional 2013
3) Microsoft Visio Professional 2013
4) Office for Mac 2011
Before purchasing any of this software, please ensure that you check the system requirements. Packages one to three above are compatible with Windows 7 or Windows 8 and package four is compatible with Mac OS X version 10.05.008 or later.
