*****ORIGINAL BULLETIN CONTENT******
Dear Residence Student,
Please accept our apologies for the internet connection problems that you have faced in the last number of days as you have moved into residence. Rest assured that most of the problems are now resolved and a few problems are still outstanding.
As of 5:45pm today (September 4, 2014);
- The “RezNet” and the “RezNet-Guest” Wireless Networks are working. If you have never connected to “RezNet” and would like to establish that connection with the least number of challenges, please connect to “RezNet-Guest” first, start your internet browser and follow the directions on the screen to configure your device correctly. Although you can remain on the “RezNet-Guest”, we urge you to configure your device correctly and use “RezNet”. “RezNet” provides more security and greater bandwidth.
- There continues to be issues related to entertainment devices and printers joining the network. Please contact the IT Service desk at (705)748-1015 or by e-mailing reznet@trentu.ca to report these problems.
- The wired ports in all residences are currently NOT working. We are working on the problem and will restore service as soon as possible.
For all issues related to “RezNet” please continue to contact the IT Service Desk at (705)748-1015 or by e-mailing reznet@trentu.ca. We will provide further updates as new information is available.
Thank You
