Blackboard Outage - Wed., Aug 12 11:59 PM to Thurs., Aug 13 5:00 AM

Dear All,

Please be advised that our Learning System (Blackboard) will be undergoing system maintenance between 11:59 PM on Wednesday August 12th and 5:00 AM on Thursday August 13th 

Impact: 
For the duration of the outage the Blackboard system will be completely shut down. Users will be unable to access any Blackboard courses, take or submit assessments or post files. 

Details: 
During the previous maintenance period we were unable to complete the upgrade due to a technical failure. This update is still very critical to the continued success of the Blackboard system and must be rescheduled in smaller pieces to avoid additional problems. This outage will be required to update the back end Blackboard database, and another subsequent outage (to be planned before September) will be used to install the Blackboard software update. 

At the conclusion of this maintenance you should not experience any changes to the Blackboard system. This work is an important pre-requisite to installing the latest Blackboard software release, but is focused on the back-end systems only.
