Blackboard Maintenance - Thurs. Sept 3 2015 11:59 PM to Fri., Sep. 4, 2015 8:00 AM

Please be advised that our Learning System (Blackboard) will be undergoing another system update between 11:59 PM on Thursday September 3rd and 8:00 AM on Friday September 4th
 

Impact:

For the duration of the outage the Blackboard system will be completely shut down. Users will be unable to access any Blackboard courses, take or submit assessments or post files.
 

Details:

Blackboard has made available to Trent University new features and modules that will provide enhancements to the Blackboard system. These modules will allow for enhanced distribution of Blackboard content, and customization of the Blackboard system beyond our current capabilities. IT plans to evaluate and launch these features in the future, but it’s important that the work to install them be completed before the majority of classes begin as to not disrupt the system during the academic year.
 
After the upgrade, users may notice some minor changes to the Blackboard interface including new buttons and features, however any all features will be customized and announced to our community via Tech Bulletins in the coming months.
