The Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS) is a public Austrian university with almost 18,000 students, six faculties, and a history dating back to its founding in 1622. The most popular and prominent programs at PLUS include Law, Communication Science, and Computer Science. The university offers around 90 degree options spread across six main faculties.

Only for winter semester: Salzburg offers a two-week preparatory language course for exchange students (mid September – end of September) at a reduced participation fee. Note: No preparatory language course for exchange students coming for the summer semester [March-June].
The University Language Centre also offers German language classes (2-4 hours/ week). Course fee: € 60-90/semester.
Students can choose courses at all faculties and departments as long as they meet the subject and language requirements, independently of which degree they are enrolled in.
Incoming exchange students can often select courses from both bachelor's and master's levels, depending on their background and the specific departmental agreement.
Accommodations
On-campus accommodation is not available. The University of Salzburg does not own any student dormitories and therefore cannot offer housing services. However, they provide information about housing opportunities in Salzburg on their website.
