QUESTIONS
Why did you decide to study in Canada?
Because it's an english speaking country and it's not in Europe.
Why did you choose Trent University?
I had two choices of university. After looking at both websites, I chose Trent for the campus environment and its student-friendly policy.
What did you find most challenging about studying abroad?
I think the hardest part was having to eat on campus at every meal because I lived in Lady Eaton dorm.
Were you able to travel?
I don't think I have a favourite, I loved them all!
I was in Montreal during reading week just after the snowstorm, so it was very snowy during my stay. The train from Toronto to Montreal was 3 hours late because of the weather conditions! I spent a day in Ottawa it was super nice, I found the city very beautiful, but I didn't get to visit Parliament. I wished I booked a tour.
I went to Toronto at the end of my stay, the weather was very nice, and I went to Niagara Falls. It was very touristy and the boat tours near the falls are only open from May 1st so I couldn't do it.
What is one of your favourite memories from your time abroad?
My weekend at Niagara Falls is one of my favourite memories because it was my first solo trip, so I felt proud of myself, and it was just great to see the falls!
What advice would you offer a student who is thinking about studying at Trent University?
I'd advise them to join at least one club, as it's a great way to meet new people in small groups!
