Body

Get ahead of a trending demographic shift, and gain perspectives on aging relevant to your field of study with this leading collaborative specialization in Aging Studies for all graduate research-based programs.

As a humanities, sciences, or social sciences graduate student, explore the significance of aging for individuals, communities and societies, through course work and research.

At Trent, an international leader in interdisciplinary aging studies, you can earn a degree and a specialization in as little as one year. Work with faculty and world-renowned researchers in the field of aging from across the social sciences and humanities and gain access to the trailblazing Trent Centre for Aging & Society. Contribute to meaningful dialogue on aging and take part in collaborative excellence as you explore and challenge the myths about aging, old age and older populations.

  • As opportunities in the field grow, a specialization in Aging Studies adds a valuable dimension to your degree
  • Study in Peterborough – home to one of Canada’s most-rapidly aging populations
  • Be a part of the groundbreaking, University-Integrated Seniors’ Village and Long-Term Care Home to be built on Trent lands, in which opportunities for students and older adults to learn together is tremendous
  • Play a role in the Trent Centre for Aging & Society’s extensive community-based collaborations, many research-based and applied intergenerational opportunities and new Knowledge Mobilization Hub
