Creative Writing (Option)
The Option in Creative Writing is designed for those students who have an interest in exploring and developing creative writing as a complement to their current disciplinary studies. The courses are designed for the incremental development, aiming to give students an opportunity to study the theory and craft of writing and to apply what they learn in writing activities, assignments, and workshops. Over the course of study, students will expand their writing repertoire, build writing communities, and learn techniques for revising while building portfolios using a variety of literary styles and approaches.
An option is a “mini-minor” – a set of courses in one discipline that can be completed in conjunction with any undergraduate degree program, allowing you to focus on an additional subject of interest.
